Twenty-three years ago Sid Abel went to Yucatan, Mexico and discovered an underwater world of Carribean colors while snorkeling that has influenced her as an artist to this day. She’s an acrylic painter who’s been creating art in Venice for over 11 years while living on and off on Isla Mujeres (“Island of the Women”) in the gulf of Mexico–a small fishing village where she sold her first painting.

Hey Nowhere Man!! Thanks for the blog, looks wonderful.
See you on the boardwalk, Sid Abel
The Artwork of Sid Abel. What can you say about it? It’s Fantastic! So full of fun and life! I’ve been following her art for years. Her art is museum quality; beautiful and magical; almost mystical. There is something truly special about her ability to communicate through her art; and her art is both soothing and exciting at the same time. If you ever get a chance to see her artwork and talk with her in person, you’re in for a real treat! If you’re on the boardwalk, a stop at her art stall makes the day at the beach just that much nicer! Ron
On a visit to San Pedro Ca in 2009 I met the artist Sid Able and purchased one of her beautiful, colorful rooster. Although I have looked on the web I have not found a website where I can purchase more paintings / prints. If Ms. Able has such a site please let me know.
Sid please send an email. Hope you remember me from appx. 20years ago. I have your “Mercado” on the wall above the couch. Love you. Terry
